Maun Airport

Maun airport is located on the north side of Maun town. Maun's airport has always been a focal point of the Botswana Safari industry. The airport is quite small and laid back. There are a few informal check-in desks, and a quiet café upstairs.

On the down side, the airport has no left luggage facility. However, if you are passing through en route to camps in the surrounding area via light aircraft, most safari companies will happily collect your spare luggage for safe keeping. This will be returned to you on departure from Maun.

There are daily flights between Maun and Johannesburg. Depending on the season, these flights can be direct or via Gaborone. There are also direct flights to Maun from Cape Town on Mondays and Fridays, and to Cape Town from Maun on Thursdays and Sundays.
