Eagle Island Camp hosts a diverse wildlife population, and is home to almost 400 different bird species. When the rains begin in November, the floodwater attracts rare birds such as the Pel's Fishing Owl and Brown Fire Finches. Flocks of up to 200 Wattled Cranes have also been recorded.

DiningEagle Island Camp offers a variety of bar and dining options. Guests can enjoy relaxing and dining under the African skies in open-air dining, bar and lounge areas, and covered dining areas are also available. An off-site bush dining venue is also available where guests can dine in the seclusion of true African nature.
Sunsets may be viewed from the deck or the fully stocked Fish Eagle Bar which overlooks the delta. After dark, guests may enjoy relaxing in the seating area, kept warm by a camp fire.
All luxury tents at Eagle Island Camp are housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views, and are shaded by a traditional African thatch roof. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a private dinner.
The air-conditioned tents are designed for comfort and ease. Large 4-poster beds, private fully-stocked mini bars and en-suite bathrooms, allow for a luxurious experience.
