Activities In The Wild - a true water camp, it offers mokoro game viewing, fishing and walking safaris all year round.

Jacana Camp is a water-oriented camp situated outside the Moremi Game Reserve on the Jao flats. The camp is set in one of the most densely populated wetland areas for Sitatunga and Red Lechwe and abounds with Hippo, Crocodile and the big game.
The area is host to a variety of wetland bird species, including Wattled Cranes, Pel's Fishing Owls, both species of Jacanas as well as other seldom sighted species such as Rails, Crakes and Moorhens.
The camp's facilities include a plunge pool, curio shop and gazebo with hammocks. There is a raised hide about 40 minutes from camp which can be used by small groups for sleep outs.
Water-based activities include fishing (basic equipment is provided by the camp), boating trips in the waterways to the east of the camp and water game viewing in a mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe).
Walking safaris are offered year round. Depending on water levels, game drives and night drives are available as the floodwaters recede from about September to May.
Children over the age of 8 years are welcome.
LocationJacana Camp is situated about 25km west of Mombo, outside the Moremi Game reserve on the Jao Reserve of 60 000 hectares.

DiningJacana Camp's main dining area is set on an elevated wooden deck overlooking the flood plains and is nestled among sycamore fig trees and dense wild date palms. There is a cosy bar and lounge beneath the dining room, with an open-air fireplace.
Jacana Camp accommodates a maximum of 10 guests in 5 small Meru-style tents. The tents are set on wooden decks overlooking the floodplains and have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and showers. The bathrooms are enclosed, but roofless. Each tent is fitted with a fan, basic toiletries and insect repellent.
