Shinde is an intimate camp located on the edge of Shinde lagoon, in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta. The main camp's unique tree house comprises a multi-tiered raised dining/lounge area under canvas, set under the branches of mangosteen and African ebony trees. The view from the raised dining area is of reeded waterways, which are home to a variety of birds. There is a plunge pool, which offers welcome respite during the heat of the day.

The location allows for both water and land activities throughout the year. Powerboats or mokoro provide a chance to experience the incredible bird, plant and reptile species found in the aquatic habitat of the Delta. Game drives are conducted in comfortable, specially designed vehicles together with a personal guide. Guided walks are also available and if you're a fly fishing enthusiast, Shinde Camp offers fishing for a variety of species such as tilapia and tiger fish.

The exclusive Shinde Enclave is a 'camp within a camp', catering for a maximum of 6 guests and offering the ultimate in personal service. The 3 luxury tents are within close proximity to the private dining area and viewing deck, affording an exclusive hideaway and perfect location from which a family or small group of friends can explore the Okavango Delta.

Shinde Camp is located on an island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta, Botswana.

Dining is enjoyed with the other guests, the camp managers and guides, and dinner is always a 3-course meal served at the table. During dinner you can discuss your preferences for activities the following morning and orders are taken for the tea/coffee wake up call. Another wonderful tradition at Shinde is relaxing around the campfire after dinner, here you can exchange stories with other guests and enjoy the star-filled night skies.

Shinde comprises 9 safari style tents each with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, a shower and flush toilet. Your comfort has been catered for with mosquito proofing, generated electricity, a handy flashlight and even a hot water bottle to warm your bed at night during winter. The tents have been strategically positioned and from your private viewing deck you'll be able to look across the Delta's waterways or open grasslands.

Accommodation is generally twin share on comfortable three quarter beds, however double accommodation is available on request. Shinde accommodates only 16 guests in total.
