Vumbura Plains Camp is a superior camp situated to the north of Mombo, in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the extreme north of the Okavango Delta.

The main camp area is situated on raised platforms, shaded by indigenous trees, allowing for magnificent views of the delta landscape. You can relax and unwind in the boma, enjoying the African views, and keep warm at night by the fireside.

The area hosts a diverse array of wildlife and game, allowing for a range of game viewing activities. You could explore your surroundings on water safaris, in mokoros (dugout canoes) or by boat.

Day and night game drives, as well as walking safaris, are also offered, where game such as lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah and buffalo are commonly spotted.

For a private and relaxing day at Vumbura Plains Camp, you can cool off in your own private plunge pool, and enjoy views of African game and diverse bird life from the privacy of your own deck.

Vumbura Plains Camp is situated about 25km north of Mombo, in the neighbouring northern private reserve of 60 000 hectares, within Botswana's Okavango Delta.

The main dining, lounge and pub area at Vumbura Plains Camp is tucked away beneath a canopy of indigenous trees, with a superb view across the floodplain. You can also choose to dine in the privacy of your own tent or sala.

Vumbura Plains Camp hosts 2 camps accommodating 14 guests each. The thatched canvas tents are positioned on raised platforms, shaded by indigenous trees with views of vast plains and waters of the Okavango Delta.

Each tent has its own bedroom, lounge and en suite bathroom, with an additional outdoor shower and private sala and plunge pool. The tents are linked to the main living area by raised boardwalks, with a dining, lounge and bar area.
