Enjoy a short stop to view beautiful Table Mountain, and then leave Cape Town for the Cederberg Mountain region; one of the main rooibos tea growing areas in South Africa, and also home to thousands of wildlflowers that bloom in October.

On this first afternoon you'll spend some time learning about tour-life, the overland vehicle and equipment, before going on a guided walk to see Bushmen paintings and learning about local fauna and flora.

Travel north through the Namaqualand region, known for the beautiful wildflowers that bloom in spring, and head for the Gariep (Orange) River.

The Western Cape is soon left behind and you'll spend most of the afternoon travelling through the Northen Cape Province before arriving at your campsite. Enjoy an evening under the stars getting to know your fellow travelers.

Choose between a relaxing morning on the riverbank or an optional half-day canoe adventure.

After lunch, travel north to the Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world at 161km in length. The canyon is situated along the lower reaches of the seasonal Fish River, the longest river in Namibia.

From the Fish River Canyon, continue on towards the remote hinterland of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Arrive at camp just outside the park in the afternoon and enjoy a short hike into the Sesreim Canyon.

As you are in quite an isolated area, this is an excellent night to sleep out under the stars.

Awake before dawn and travel a short distance into the Namib-Naukluft National Park, where you'll hike up Dune 45 to enjoy the sunrise. After breakfast, join a local expert on a tour of the desert ecosystem.

Later, take a guided hike with fellow group members into Sossusvlei, known for its massive red dunes and eerie Deadvlei.

Today you'll cross the Tropic of Capricorn on your way up the Namibian coast to Walvis Bay, a seaside town known for its large flamingo population.

Arrive at the resort town of Swakopmund for adrenaline, adventure and sightseeing.

Day 7 is free for activities, wandering around the town or relaxing with a dolphin cruise. Go sand-boarding, quad-biking or even sky-diving over the dunes - all wonderful ways of enjoying this unique desert.

Leave all the trappings of modern life behind and drive inland to the mysterious Spitzkoppe, a sacred site of the San people, and where you have the option of enjoying a guided hike in the area.

Spend the afternoon climbing the boulders and rock formations, before enjoying a sundowner and camping wild for the night.

After some early morning exploration you head inland again and drive north towards Kamanjab, where you'll meet with a local Himba tribe, a semi-nomadic people known for their striking hairstyles and jewellry.

Head further north to to Etosha National Park, home to some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. Spend your time visiting waterholes and along winding roads in search of game.

In the evenings relax with a drink at the camp's floodlit waterhole, often the setting for a dramatic nocturnal ambush.

After a last early morning game drive, you'll leave Etosha National Park behind you and head south for Namibia's capital city, Windhoek. The city has a unique heritage and history and its population is incredibly varied.

Enjoy an afternoon city tour and Windhoek's cafe culture before heading out for an optional dinner at Joe's Beer House.

The following day you'll cross over into Botswana, where once at camp, you'll meet with a local Bushmen community and experience some traditional tribal dancing.

Travel from Ghanzi towards Maun, which has grown from a rural frontier town into the hub of Botswana's safari circuit, and where your group will prepare for your 2 night bush-camping experience.

From here you'll enter the Okavango Delta using local transport, and if the water level is fine you'll enter by local mokoro (dug-out canoe) - a truly unique experience.

Enjoy guided game walks, spectacular scenery of the Delta waterways and amazing wildlife encounters.

Leave the Delta behind and travel east to the town of Gweta, which is located halfway between Maun and Nata, and is near the majestic Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.

Today you'll head north for Kasane, the strategic meeting point for Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Spend your afternoon on a game cruise on the Chobe River, the ideal way to experience the wildlife of the Chobe National Park, as elephant, buffalo and hippo are regular sightings on the bank and in the river.

Get up early for one last game drive in Chobe, before heading over the border into Zimbabwe to the mighty Victoria Falls, known by the locals as the 'Smoke that Thunders'.

Visit the Victoria Falls National Park and relax with a wonderful (optional) sunset cruise which includes dinner and drinks.

The next day is yours to explore, experience and relax. Go white-water rafting down the Zambezi, bungee-jump off the bridge, enjoy an elephant-back safari or walk with lions. For the best way to view the Falls, a micro-light trip or helicopter flight is well worth it.

Leave early for a long and uneventful drive through the Botswana landscape to Palapye or the border at Martinsdrift where you'll spend the night.

The following day is another early departure in order to cover ground and reach Johannesburg as early as possible.

Today you'll leave Johannesburg and travel through the picturesque province of Mpumalanga to the renowned Kruger National Park.

Once at camp you'll head out on a game drive in a wildlife concession area just outside Kruger, providing you with your first opportunity to view the nocturnal activities of the park.

Get up early for a morning game drive and explore the southern part of this vast reserve, known for its abundant wildlife. Be on the lookout for the Big 5, as well as a host of other animals and birds.

Leave the Kruger National Park and head for Timbavati, a reserve known for its small white lion population.

In the afternoon you'll have the chance to visit a traditional Shangaan village, where you can interact with the community members and learn about their heritage and way of life.

Your last tour day arrives with an early game walk through the Timbavati Private Game Reserve before making your way back to Johannesburg.

On the way you'll drive through the Panorama Route and visit the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window - all beautiful sights.
