Spend 26 days exploring southern Africa on an overland adventure. From the beautiful city of Cape Town, you'll drive up the west coast of the continent to discover the desert wonderland of Namibia. In Botswana you'll visit two fantastic wildlife sanctuaries: the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. Then you'll experience the awe and adrenaline of the Victoria Falls before you finish your adventure tracking the Big Five in the Kruger National Park.
- Day 1: Cederberg Mountains
- Day 2: Namaqualand - Gariep River
- Itinerary
You travel north through Namaqualand and head for the Gariep River. The Western Cape is soon left behind and you spend most of the afternoon travelling through the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The night is spent on the banks of the Gariep River around the campfire, getting to know one another.
- Day 3: Gariep River - Fish River Canyon
- Itinerary
Choose between a relaxing morning on the riverbank or the half-day canoe adventure. After lunch, you travel north to the Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world, 161km in length. The canyon is situated along the lower reaches of the seasonal Fish River, the longest river in Namibia.

- Day 4: Namib-Naukluft National Park
- Days 6-7: Swakopmund
- Itinerary
A dramatic drive through the arid Namib-Naukluft, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn sees you arrive at Walvis Bay. You make a stop to view the flamingos before heading on towards the seaside resort town of Swakopmund.
Day 7 is left free for you to pursue your own interests, including many adventure activities.
- Day 8: Spitzkoppe
- Itinerary
You leave all the trappings of modern life behind and drive inland to the mysterious Spitzkoppe, a sacred site of the San people. You have the chance to climb the boulders and rock formations, and will be camping in the wild for the night.
Optional Activity: Guided hike with locals to view San rock art.
- Days 9-11: Himba Tribes - Etosha National Park
- Itinerary
After some early morning exploration you head inland again and drive north towards Kamanjab.
The next day you spend an enjoyable and educational morning with the Himba people before driving further inland to Etosha National Park. Please have respect for the people that you are going to visit and keep in mind that they have a different culture, so behaviour you deem as normal might be offensive to them, and vice versa.
Once in Etosha you spend your time visiting the abundant waterholes for some excellent game photography.
- Days 12-13: Northern Namibia
- Itinerary
After an early morning game drive you set off towards Rundu on the Kavango River. In the evening you can enjoy a sunset cruise.
The next day you visit the local Ovambo villages. There are a number of different optional activities to take part in; alternatively, a relaxing day by the river is always popular.
- Days 14-16: Botswana - Okavango Delta
- Itinerary
The journey starts early and continues from Rundu, through the Muhembo border, towards Shakawe. If time allows, you go to Mahango National Park for a game drive, which is situated right on the border.
Those who decide to join the Delta Excursion will leave the truck behind and head to the base camp. From here you will enter the delta the following day by local transport, including mokoros (dug-out canoes). Your guides will provide you with a briefing about the next few day's activities, the environment and the community run tourism operation. If you remain behind then you spend the next few days relaxing at camp.

- Day 17: Namibia - Caprivi National Park
- Itinerary
The delta is left behind as you pass through the Caprivi National Park in Namibia, camping under the stars on the banks of the Zambezi River. The Caprivi National Park is home to 450 animal species. Animals travel freely across the border with Botswana where the Chobe National Park lies. You spend the night relaxing next to this mighty river.
- Day 18: Botswana - Chobe National Park

You cross the border into Botswana once again, and head towards Kasane, where you camp on the banks of the Chobe River. The afternoon can be spent game viewing on an optional boat cruise, in the renowned Chobe National Park. This is an excellent opportunity to view some of Africa's spectacular wildlife.
- Days 19-20: Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls

Arriving early at Victoria Falls, you have time to plan the next day's adventure activities and those who want to can visit the falls. A popular option is the sunset cruise, which includes dinner and drinks.
- Days 21-22: Victoria Falls - Johannesburg
- Day 23: Panorama Route
- Itinerary
Leaving Johannesburg, the city of gold, behind, you head through the province of Mpumalanga. Blyde River Canyon, and Bourke's Luck Potholes will be some of today's highlights on the famous Panorama route. At your camp for the evening, in a wildlife concession area just outside Kruger, you go on a night game drive, providing you with your first opportunity to view the nocturnal activities of the inhabitants of the African bushveld.
- Days 24-25: Kruger National Park
- Itinerary
You get up early and head off for a morning game walk before entering Kruger National Park. The next 2 days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve; keeps your eyes open for sightings of elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo - Africa's famed "Big Five”.
The game drives continue and the early start usually pays off with some great sightings. Stay on the lookout for the diverse birdlife and some of the more elusive animals. Tonight you stay in another delightful rest camp.
- Day 26: Traditional Cultural Village, Tour End
