On this tour you can meet a Bushman tribe in Botswana before travelling to the glorious peace and tranquility of the Okavango Delta. Here you will spend 2 days exploring the world's largest inland delta by land and water, before heading off to Chobe Game Reserve, another of Botswana's treasures. From Chobe it's just a short hop over to Victoria Falls - one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and the grande finale of your tour.
- Day 1: Bushmen Tribe
- Itinerary
Leaving Windhoek behind you, you head towards the Botswana border. Here you have the opportunity to interact with the local Bushmen community as well as other activities. Please have respect for the people that you are going to visit. Keep in mind that they have a different culture, and that behavior you deem as normal might be offensive to them, and vice versa. You spend your first night on tour close to the border.
- Days 2-4: Okavango Delta
- Itinerary
Today's journey takes you through the border into Botswana and on to Maun. You arrive in the afternoon, leave your truck behind, board the planes, and head into the Okavango. After a wonderful scenic flight you arrive at your base for the next 3 days.
The Okavango is the largest inland delta in the world. The delta environment is home to a variety of animals, many of them rare, such as crocodile, red lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, wild dogs and buffalo, and is also a bird lover's paradise. On day 2 you explore its crystal clear waterways in a mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) with local people and enjoy a nature walk. Day 3 gives you the opportunity to experience delta culture with a visit to a local village.
- Day 5: Caprivi National Park
- Itinerary
Leaving the Okavango Delta behind, you cross back into Namibia. You travel through the Caprivi National Park en route to your next 'home' alongside the Zambezi River. The Caprivi National Park is home to 450 animal species. Animals travel freely across the border with Botswana where the Chobe National Park lies. You spend the evening relaxing next to the mighty Zambezi, part of Africa's 4th largest river system.
- Day 6: Chobe National Park
- Day 7: Victoria Falls
- Itinerary
You can go on an optional morning game drive in the Chobe National Park before departing for Victoria Falls. Arriving early at your final destination, you head off to visit the spectacular falls and experience the thundering sound of the mighty Zambezi. Vic Falls is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. The popular optional sunset cruise on the Zambezi River includes dinner and drinks.
- Day 8: Tour Ends
- Itinerary
You can spend the day white water rafting in this, the adrenaline capital of Africa. If that doesn't appeal to you, Vic Falls offers many exciting alternatives including bungee jumping, elephant back safaris and tiger fishing - to name but a few. Your last evening can be spent together as a group at a local restaurant, recounting your tour experiences and adventures.
