The safari starts from Nairobi, goes straight to the Masai Mara and then to Lake Nakuru. Then it heads south to Amboseli and on into Tanzania visiting Lake Manyara, the Serengeti Plains and the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania.

- Day 1: Nairobi

You will be met at Nairobi International Airport and transferred to the Safari Park Hotel. You will have the rest of the day to spend touring the city or simply relaxing. Stay overnight at Safari Park Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.

- Day 2: Masai Mara National Park (approx 5 hours drive)

After breakfast you will depart for the Masai Mara to enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of the wildlife. You will stay overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge on a full board basis for 2 nights.

- Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend another day in this renowned wildlife park and enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, returning to the Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch. If you are lucky enough to time your safari correctly you might catch the wildebeest and zebra in the annual migration.

After breakfast you will drive to the Rift Valley Lakes where you will enjoy game viewing at Lake Nakuru, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle. After lunch, which is served at Lake Nakuru Lodge overlooking thousands of pink flamingoes lining the shores of the lake, you continue through the Nakuru Park to Lake Naivasha or Lake Nakuru Lodge, where you overnight.

After breakfast you will drive to Nairobi where you stop to enjoy lunch before continuing to Amboseli. Amboseli is a small park that sits in the shadow of Kilimanjaro. Your safari spends 2 nights at Amboseli Sopa Lodge on a full board basis. Spend the day exploring Amboseli - of particular interest is the Amboseli forest and swamps, which attract elephants and other game.

Have breakfast, board the game-viewing vehicle and let your guide take you through Amboseli. It is easier to spot game in Amboseli, as it is a lot smaller than other reserves.

- Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park (approx 6 hours drive)

After an early breakfast you will cross the border into Tanzania. From here it is a comfortable drive to Arusha, where you will stop for lunch before carrying on across the Masai Steppe to the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. Here you will stay at Manyara Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

You can look forward to viewing wildlife in the open plains of the Serengeti while your guide takes you to some excellent viewing points. After this morning's breakfast, you can enjoy a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, commonly referred to as the world's largest wildlife zoo. There is a permanent source of water in the crater which attracts a wide range of animals, making game viewing easy. You enjoy a picnic lunch en-route and an afternoon visit to a Masai village.

- Day 12: Tarangire National Park (approc 4.30 hours' drive)

After breakfast you drive to the Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch and a siesta. The afternoon is spent on safari, before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control, and any increase levied, will be passed to you. In order to qualify for the low season rates, the tour must start and finish within the specified dates. If any safari starts in the low season and ends in the high season, we have to pro rata the cost accordingly.

The condition of Kenyan roads can be poor, tarmac and dirt roads are affected by wear & tear and flooding. Driving times indicated can fluctuate depending on road conditions and should be used as a guideline. Punctures are not uncommon on rough terrain and can add up to 1-2 hours to total journey times.
