If your personality suits travelling in groups with like-minded souls and you want to discover Africa in a fun way, overlanding can be a very rewarding adventure. It won't suit everyone though and you need to be prepared for a bit of roughing it, pitching your own tent in places and helping out with some of the cooking and other chores.
