If you're travelling to Kenya for the first time you will probably want to skip the cities and towns and move straight onto the savannahs and safaris. However, after a couple of weeks on safari, the urban, African vibe of the large cities like Nairobi and Mombasa will be a welcome change in pace.

Although the towns and cities of Kenya are not the major focus for any visitor, Kenya has been part of the African tourist trade for so long, most will have a colonial charm and will provide the necessities.
