African Wilderness - visitors are limited to a maximum of 12 per day to retain the wild and unspoilt nature of the area and to minimise the impact on the environment.
Masai Culture - you can enjoy an escorted walk with Masai warriors to a local village: this is an excellent opportunity to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life.
Night Drives - this gives you a chance to spot nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes and African wild cats.
Porini Camp is in the Selenkay Conservation area which lies a few miles North of Amboseli National Park and is an important area for migrating wildlife. The area is leased from the Masai community, who also receive an entry fee for each visitor.
Selenkay Conservation Area is well off the beaten track and has only recently been set up as a tourism destination. It lies in the heart of Masai land where the animals are truly wild and not yet habituated to the presence of vehicles.
Daily Kenya safari activities include game drives in specially designed 4x4 vehicles and guided walks. You can see a wide variety of wildlife in the area including elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, warthog and many species of buck. Birdlife is also prolific, especially birds of prey.
