Lying on the edge of Amboseli National Park, Tortilis Camp is located in a hillside setting, shaded by the natural forest of Acacia Tortilis thorn trees after which the camp is named. Designed in a manner which blends rustic style and modern amenities, the camp is renowned for its high standards of service and also its views of the sunset over Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.
Home to over a thousand elephants, herds of wildebeest, lions and over 300 species of birds, Amboseli is an exciting and diverse game viewing destination. Tortilis Camp offers a wide range of activities, ranging from early morning and late afternoon game drives and horse back riding to guided game walks led by a Masai expert outside the game park. Alternatively, you can laze around the pool with a cocktail and enjoy the sounds of the wild.

DiningThe food at Tortilis Camp is part of the charm. Enjoy traditional North Italian cuisine based on recipes from the owner's family cookbook, complimented by delicious salads and herbs grown in the camp's own garden.
Tortilis Camp's 17 tents are luxurious and spacious, and each tent leads from a bedroom with expansive king-size or generous twin beds, through a dressing area and into modern bathrooms with pressured hot showers and flush toilets.
Each tent is raised up on a wooden deck and sheltered by a makuti (thatched) roof which overhangs a large veranda; ideal for an early afternoon siesta.
