The town of Chogoria is 230km (140 miles) from Nairobi on the road to Meru. This little town is the starting point for the scenic Chogoria Track up to Point Lenana, the third highest peak of Mount Kenya. There are no hotels in town offering fully equipped climbs, but porters can be arranged beforehand in Nairobi.
