Embu

With a cool pleasant climate, Embu is the provincial headquarters of the Eastern Province. As there is not much to see or do here, not many travellers hang about. But if you do fancy stopping for a bite to eat or for the night, consider the Izaak Walton Inn. Originally a colonial farm house, it has sprawling lawns and gardens and fire places in the cosy bar and restaurant.
