- Day 1: Attend an Orientation of Diani
- Itinerary
Arrive at Mombasa Airport and transfer to a base, near the Indian Ocean, for your meet and greet, and a brief orientation of Diani. This is followed by a short scenic transfer to Mukurumuji Camp for lunch.
After settling into your tented accommodation, you're given a full briefing and orientation.

- Day 2: Visit the Community and School
- Itinerary
After a wildlife safety briefing, enjoy a guided walk to spot elephants (which roam freely in the area) and visit the local community and school.
Learn some Swahili after dinner, to help you communicate with the locals as you work with them.

- Days 3-6: Begin the Volunteer Programme
- Itinerary
Spend four days participating in the school and community development programme. The rewarding work involves expanding and enhancing existing facilities, as well as building new ones.

- Day 7: Take a Cultural Day
- Itinerary
Enjoy a tour of a traditional local Swahili homestead with a specialist guide. The tour could include activities such as basket weaving, roof thatching, and local food harvesting, preparation and cooking.

- Day 8: Go on Safari in Shimba Hills
- Itinerary
Go on an exciting safari in Shimba Hills National Reserve, where beautiful scenery is combined with a unique, and botanically rich, coastal rainforest. See the sable antelope that is found nowhere else in Kenya. The reserve is also a haven for the endangered Angolan black and white colobus monkey.
Take the opportunity to explore this area on a game drive before going to Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary. The sanctuary has the highest density (per sq.km) of elephant in Africa. You'll learn about elephant behaviour and the threats facing this amazing animal.

- Day 9: Relax on the Beach
- Itinerary
Take a break from all your hard work and relax on the beach, do some shopping, or sign up for one of the many optional activities at the Aqualand Adventure Centre.

- Days 10-12: Continue the Volunteer Programme
- Day 13: Say Farewell to the Community
- Itinerary
Say farewell to the people that you have worked closely with over the previous weeks, and take a look at the results of all your hard work.
