Only a few miles from the equator, Loisaba Private Game Ranch is set in 60 000 acres of beautiful wilderness where the farm management and local Laikipiak Masai and Samburu community work together to preserve the surrounding environment and abundant wildlife.

Constructed from stone, local timber and thatch, the lodge is perched high on the edge of the plateau looking south towards Mount Kenya. All the furniture in the lodge is handmade at Loisaba.

The lodge is made for adventure and you have complete freedom to choose how to spend your time at Loisaba. You could trek through the bush with camels, mountain bike down the escarpment, raft the Ewaso Nyiro, horseback ride or drive through the wild canyons of the 2 great rivers that span this vast area.

The ranch also owns a micro-light and aeroplane so there are limitless opportunities for you to try new and unexpected activites, such as a heli-camp, followed by surfing down the remote sand dunes of the Northern Frontier District, or rock-climbing the soaring pinnacles which thrust from the valley floor.

Loisaba's main lodge has 7 rooms, 4 doubles and 3 twins, all with en suite bathrooms.

The celebrated 4-poster Star Beds, Kiboko and Kioja, each comprises 2 double star bed sleeping platforms and one large family platform which all have en suite bathroom facilities and showers. The platforms are partially covered so you can choose to drift off to sleep, either under the thatched shelter or the blanket of the starry African skies.

A separate truly exclusive, self-contained and serviced private cottage is also available, which has 2 double ensuite bedrooms and its own game drive vehicle.

Loisaba House and Cottage offer private and exclusive accommodation, each with its own staff, car and guide, as well as access to the main lodge's facilities including the spa, swimming pool, and tennis court.
