Lake Elmenteita

Elmenteita is a small, shallow soda lake on the Delamere Estate, and is home to flamingos (though not in the same numbers as Nakuru) and hippos. Surrounded by volcanic rock and hills, the lake has a Jurassic feel. As it was only recently developed for tourism, casual visits are not really encouraged. Elmenteita is on the Naivasha-Nakuru Road and the only accommodation is at the luxury Delamere Tented Camp.
