Masai Mara Flights

Masai Mara flights are a simple enough affair: the best airport from which to reach the Masai Mara is undoubtedly Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International airport. The Masai Mara lies about 270 km from Nairobi and takes about 5 hours by road.

If you're looking to fly straight into the Masai Mara's lodges via safari airstrips then you will need to use Wilson Airport (located on the outskirts of Nairobi) as Jomo Kenyatta Airport does not service fly-in safari strips.

If you go for this option, you will be met by a driver and transferred to Wilson Airport from Jomo Kenyatta Airport so there's no need to brave Nairobi's traffic or public transport.

There are scheduled flights, twice daily from Wilson Airport Nairobi, which take about 40 - 45 minutes.
