Money: Masai Mara

Kenyan shillings will suffice for just about any transaction you could undertake in the Masai Mara, and cash is safe and readily accepted.

It won't hurt to carry a few US dollars if you plan to do some haggling at curio stalls, but it is by no means essential.

Almost all establishments will accept payment by credit card and please note that there are few, if any, bureaux de change in the Masai Mara National Park.
