Samburu Lodge

Standard safari lodge in the Samburu National Park, near Mount Kenya.

  • Crocodiles - watch some of the largest crocodiles in Kenya from the Crocodile Bar, overhanging the river waters.

  • Unique To The Region - see indigenous animals rarely found elsewhere, such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Beisa oryx.

  • Local Artisans - the shop sells beaded work, art and sculptures handcrafted by the Samburu people.

Samburu Lodge is perched on the saddle of a hill on the banks of the lazy Uaso Nyiro River, with an outlook over the plains, and the distant mountains as a backdrop.

During the day you can take a dip in the pool, and after a day of safari activities enjoy sundowners whilst watching traditional Samburu warrior dances.

Enjoy a full day's game drive, accompanied by knowledgeable guides, in search of a wide range of animals. For an unforgettable experience, you could go on a guided nature walk. Birding is also excellent in this area.
