Crocodiles - watch some of the largest crocodiles in Kenya from the Crocodile Bar.

Local Artisans - shop sells beaded work and sculptures handcrafted by the Samburu people.
Samburu Lodge is perched on the saddle of a hill on the banks of the lazy Uaso Nyiro River, with an outlook over the plains, and the distant mountains as a backdrop.
During the day you can take a dip in the pool, and after a day of safari activities enjoy sundowners while watching traditional Samburu warrior dances.
At Samburu Lodge enjoy a full day's game drive, accompanied by knowledgeable guides, in search of a wide range of animals. For an unforgettable experience, you could go on a guided nature walk. Birding is also excellent in this area.
Meals at Samburu Lodge are served in the dining room, which opens onto the riverside. Afternoon tea is served on the viewing platform overlooking the river.
To get even closer to the river you could enjoy a cocktail in the Crocodile Bar which actually overhangs the water. This is a great vantage point for the nightly feeding of the crocodiles, as well as a relaxing place to spot monitor lizards, birds, and even the occasional leopard on the opposite bank.
Samburu Lodge offers a wide choice of accommodation; 60 rooms spread up and down the river in cottages, bandas and single or twin rooms.
The rooms are comfortably furnished, and constructed from natural local materials, thereby keeping in harmony with the surrounding environment. All rooms have a balcony or veranda facing the Uaso Nyiro River and are complete with a 4-poster mosquito net.
