Ndovu Bonde Treehouse

Luxury safari lodge in the Sable Sanctuary below Shimba Hills Nature Reserve in Kenya.

  • Ever dreamt of sleeping beneath the stars? - the Ndovu four-poster bed can be safely wheeled beneath the astral panorama for star-gazing in comfort.

  • Natural Phenomenon - Sable are not known in Kenya for their great numbers; this is the only place you will see them.

  • Fabulous Facilities - treehouses are located on 40 acres of land and wilderness sanctuary, with a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi.

Ndovu Bonde Treehouse is situated on the verdant crescent of the Shimba Valley amid surrounding hilltops.

This crescent forms the boundary to the National Reserve forested wildlife sanctuary. These tree houses on the coastal area of Kenya are forested and elevated from the coastal plain.

There are views of the valley and rainforest with Tanzania as the background. Animals include elephant, buffalo, waterbuck and a diverse range of birdlife.

You can take guided bush walks through the plantations and the rainforest. If you stay for two nights, you can take a picnic on the opposite side of the valley overlooking the coastal plains of Kenya and Tanzania.

Location

40 minutes' drive from the Diani and Galu beach resorts on the south coast of Kenya in the Sable Sanctuary below Shimba Hills Nature Reserve.
