Camp Mukurumuji is located on the edge of the Shimba Hills National Reserve surrounded by an ancient equatorial rainforest.The camp is used as a base from where you will be working on the camp's community and wildlife projects.

Mukurumuji means 'where people meet' and is named after the river that runs through the camp. Beautiful panoramic views of the Shimba Hills can be enjoyed from the central living and dining area decorated with locally-made furniture.

Among the many activities the camp has to offer, you will find nature walks, lessons in bush craft, and day and night drives in the Shimba Hills Reserve. You can also visit the local communities to get an insight into how they live and work.

Camp Kenya has committed to improving the local school infrastructure. Here, you can help with desk-making, teaching and refurbishing of classrooms. Maintenance of the camp's fences and replanting of indigenous trees are just some of the ways you can get involved in their wildlife projects.
