Mountain Views - all the rooms, the open-air restaurant, timbered game-viewing decks and rock-built bar have uninterrupted views of the snow capped peak Mount Kilimanjaro.
Wildlife On Your Doorstep - the lodge waterhole offers fantastic game viewing, and at night you can listen to the sounds of herds of buffalo and elephant grazing outside your bedroom.
African Bush - the 20 720 sq km Tsavo National Park has a diversity of habitats including mountains, rivers, forests, plains, lakes and wooded grassland, and is home to a huge elephant population.
Kilaguni Safari Lodge is set on a ridge with magnificent views which extend out over the rugged Chyulu Hills with the snow-topped peaks of Kilimanjaro looming above. Kilaguni takes its name from a Kamba word meaning 'young rhino'. The lodge was opened in 1962 and was the 1st safari lodge to be built in a Kenyan national park.
Situated in the middle of the Tsavo National Park, the lodge is faced in volcanic stone and blends into the surrounding savannah landscape. 100m from the main building is a waterhole which is visited daily by herds of elephant, buffalo and plains' game.
There are many activities to keep you busy including game drives and bush walks accompanied by the resident naturalist, excursions to Mzima Springs with its crystal clear water, hippos and crocodiles, visiting The Rhino Sanctuary and climbing the Chaimu Crater. There's also the option of just lazing by the pool, treating yourself to a luxurious body treatment or picking up some souvenirs in the extensively stocked Africana Gift Shop.

DiningThe traditionally thatched, breeze-cooled dining room at Kilaguni overlooks the action-packed water hole. The menu features a blend of ethnic cuisine, internationally-themed dishes and traditional safari favourites.
For a 'wilder' dining experience you can enjoy a bush breakfast on the volcanic, rust-red Lion Rock or a lamp-lit bush dinner. Alternatively, watch the sunset as you sip sundowners at Roaring Rocks, a volcanic crag with caves and rock formations.
Kilaguni Safari Lodge has 52 rooms and 5 suites. The rooms have been recently renovated in sun-gold, sky-blue and bush-green colours. Each room has a private veranda where you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the African bush.
