Kilaguni Safari Lodge is set on a ridge with magnificent views of the rugged Chyulu Hills and the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Kilaguni takes its name from a Kamba word meaning 'young rhino'. The lodge was opened in 1962 and was the 1st safari lodge to be built in a Kenyan National Park.
Situated in the middle of the Tsavo National Park, the lodge was built with volcanic stone and blends into the surrounding savannah landscape. 100m from the main building is a waterhole which is visited daily by herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game.
There are many activities to keep you busy including game drives and bush walks accompanied by the resident naturalist, excursions to Mzima Springs with its crystal clear water, visiting The Rhino Sanctuary and climbing the Chaimu Crater.
There's also the option of just lazing by the pool or treating yourself to a luxurious body treatment - a wonderful way to unwind in the heart of the Kenyan bush.
