About Me

I've lived and travelled all over Southern Africa (South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia & Swaziland) as well as Europe (Israel, Greece, Turkey, France, Austria, Germany, Italy & the UK) plus Thailand, Mauritius and the Seychelles.

I love outdoor activities (hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving) and photography.

My favourite travel moments

Stroking a lion while on safari in Victoria Falls was a dream come true! Visiting the Vatican in Rome; my first Big 5 safari at Thornybush Lodge near the Kruger Park; skiing in Austria; diving in Mozambique and Sodwana; living on a kibbutz in Israel; skydiving in Cape Town; shark-cage diving in Gansbaai on the Whale Coast; going up the Eiffel Tower; floating on the Zambezi Queen, a luxury house boat on Botswana's Chobe River; overlanding through Namibia.

What I love about Africa

Its amazing cultural, natural and spiritual diversity; there is no doubt in my mind that a visitor to Africa will leave feeling enriched and longing to return.

Anywhere I haven’t been yet: Zanzibar, Uganda, Malawi, Argentina, Venice and New York would be my top choices.
