About Me

I was born in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape and travelled extensively within South Africa as well as in Europe while growing up. I am a homely person and really enjoy having my animals around me while pottering around in the garden. Other interests include mountain biking, hiking, reading or taking drives to areas I am unfamiliar with to enjoy a bit of discovery.

Where have I travelled

Locally I've travelled all over South Africa and I've also visited Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia and Kenya. Internationally I've been to Asia, New Zealand, all around Europe and Qatar.

My favourite travel moment

A horse-back safari in Kenya - you are able to get so close to the animals that you can almost touch them. You sit quietly in amongst the herds while they graze. It is the most authentic safari experience I have ever experienced...I really felt one with the wildlife!

What I love about Africa

Its cultural diversity and its wild, untouched destinations.
