The national airline flies between Maseru Moshoeshoe International Airport (MSU), near the capital city, and O R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, the main airport in South Africa.

It's easiest to get to Lesotho by flying from Johannesburg and there are four flights a day from Johannesburg to the airport near Maseru. It's then an 18km taxi or shuttle bus ride from the airport to the capital.

Note that a tax of M20 is payable on departure. Lesotho has 29 runways, of which only four are paved.

Fares for internal flights tend to be expensive.
