When to Go to Lesotho

Bearing in mind that summer is hot and winter very cold, there are also certain times of year that special interest groups should note when planning a visit to Lesotho.

The best botanical month is August, in spring, when peach trees blossom, turning every village a pale pink. Flowers are also spectacular in summer (November to January), when the red-hot pokers burst into flame.

The best months for snow are May to July, though some parts of Lesotho are known to experience snow at any time of the year - one of the only African countries to do so.
