A Masai Mara safari also gives you the chance to absorb the fascinating culture of the local Maasai people.

To catch the raw drama of the river crossings, many lodges are set along the Mara River, home to huge crocodiles & pods of hippo.

Stands of thorny acacia trees make the Masai Mara a great habitat for large herds of giraffe.

The Mara is not only home to thousands of plains game; predators make up a large number of sightings too.

Many private concessions border the National Reserve, offering the same experience but without all the crowds.
