With over 80 years of experience behind them, the Londolozi brand has built up a formidable team. Within the generations of the Varty family and the people who work for them (some of whom have been at Londolozi for over three decades) there is enormous well of experience and tacit knowledge of the safari industry.

Wildlife

The Sabi Sands reserve is well known for its dense concentration of wildlife, and exceptional Big 5 game viewing. Breeding herds of elephant and buffalo roam throughout the Londolozi area, whilst white rhino and lion concentrations are amongst the highest recorded on the African continent.

What Lodolozi is really known for though is leopard sightings. There is a remarkable relationship which has developed over three decades between wild free ranging leopards and Londolozi's trackers. Usually regarded as elusive, these big cats are more easily observed on a Londolozi safari than anywhere else in Africa.

Activities

Londolozi has over 16,000 hectares of traversing wilderness ensuring no two game drives are ever the same. Game drives take place at dusk and dawn; the times of day when predators are at their most active. Being set within a private reserve allows rangers to drive off-road, taking guests into the heart of the bush and creating plenty of opportunities for close sightings.

Other activities in the wild include guided walking safaris (from a morning bush walk to a daylong trail), leopard tracking, guided stargazing trips, private bush breakfasts and bush baths - so every day at Londolozi holds a new experience.

Londolozi also offers photographic safaris in specialised game drive vehicles with adjustable seats that can swivel 180 degrees allowing maximum flexibility to achieve unusual camera angles, so guests can get the shots they want. Londolozi's photographic safari guides each have a minimum of 10 years guiding experience, and a deep knowledge of all the latest digital, computer, sound, editing and photographic equipment.

The Londolozi wellness centre has mobile yoga floors, which are set up in beautiful outdoor locations. There is also an exercise room, overlooking the Sand River, and a massage centre offering Swedish massage, aromatherapy and reiki healing.

Accommodation

Londolozi has a choice of four exclusive camps and a safari lodge, all hidden from view in dense riverine forest along the banks of the Sand River. These intimate camps all offer the ultimate in luxurious safari accommodation with spacious suites, elegant décor and impeccable service.
