Are my kids allowed on a luxury train holiday?
Our selection of African luxury trains make provisions for children. That said, a strict kid's policy is applicable onboard luxury trains. Parents must bear in mind that luxury train operators work tirelessly to create a sophisticated adult atmosphere on board. Children must behave in accordance with the quiet and sophisticated nature of a luxury Africa train holiday.
Any health issues I should know about before travelling?
Anti malarial precautions are recommended for Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Kruger National Park, Swaziland and Victoria Falls departures.
What do I do about Passports & Visas ?
Rovos Rail passengers must ensure that their passports and visas, as may be required, are valid.
Should I take out cancellation insurance?
It is highly recommended that cancellation insurance is taken out as our terms and conditions will be strictly adhered to and cancellation fees, where applicable, will not be waived.
Do luxury Africa trains cater for disabled people?
One of the two Blue Trains is compatible for disabled persons. There are customised wheelchairs on board and they've been specifically designed to negotiate the Blue Train's corridors. A butler will be on-hand to assist disabled guests should they require any assistance on there luxury Blue Train tour.
Due to the design of their luxury train carriages, Rovos Rail is not properly equipped for disabled travellers. Rovos Rail does however have wheelchair facilities available for assisting passengers down Station platforms.
