The route to Victoria Falls has an intangible, magical quality. This two-night Victoria Falls journey exudes all that is romantic about African travel and effortlessly offers the traveller an escape into parts of southern Africa filled with adventure and exploration.

A Royal Ride to the Falls

Meandering east from Pretoria's Capital Park Station, the Rovos train travels to Mafakeng, at which point it crosses into mighty Botswana.

Travelling north through Botswana, and just after the capital city of Gaborone, the Rovos train traverses the Tropic of Capricorn.

Botswana's dry land finally relents, as you reach the green border town of Plumtree. Border formalities done, the route continues north west passing Bulawayo and heading towards the remarkable Hwange Game Reserve, on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Finally the mighty Zambezi River comes into view. The journey ends in as you approach the biggest, and quite possibly the loudest, sheet of falling water in the world - Victoria Falls - one of the world's seven natural wonders.

Seeing the Falls from the comfort of your luxury train is a remarkable and unforgettable experience.
