Bright and airy living spaces offer spellbinding views through expansive glass windows and deep, wrap-around verandahs. Ivory Danish floors, handmade Lamu doors and authentic African and Far Eastern artefacts mingle with furniture handcrafted by local artisans to give the villa an appealing, beach house feel. En suite bedrooms feature romantic 4-poster beds and sensual en suite bathrooms.
Set on exquisite Diani Beach, Alfajiri Cliff Villa is surrounded by swaying palms and overlooks the azure Indian Ocean. Crystal-clear waters and clean white-sand beaches make long made Diani the perfect destination for a classic beach getaway: snorkelling and scuba diving on the surrounding reefs are a must and the gentle sea breezes make for ideal sailing and kite surfing. Take an adventurous jet-ski safari along the shores or try your hand at deep-sea fishing in the ocean’s indigo depths.
Tranquil and private, this cliff-top villa is perfect for groups of couples and friends who want to enjoy a tailor-made beach getaway as a stand-alone holiday or as a post-safari treat. Moreover, with its 24-hour nanny service and wide range of fun activities for children, Alfajiri Cliff Villa is also perfect for a family beach holiday.
The Kenyan coast has a typical warm and often humid tropical climate. May and June are the wettest months while July through to April is the best time to visit Diani Beach for long, hot days and clear blue skies. Diving conditions are best after August and September when the water is at its clearest.
Alfajiri Cliff Villa is located in a malarial area – please consult your doctor for suitable prophylactics. A doctor is on call 24 hours a day and a well-equipped private hospital is less than a kilometre away.
The fully-equipped kitchen offers everything you will need for comfortable holiday living. Kick back and relax while your personal villa chef creates delicious meals infused with local flavours from fresh ingredients. Enjoy fresh crab, prawns, lobster and octopus plucked from the sea twice a day and Parma ham and cheeses flown in weekly from Europe.
Four elegantly-decorated en suite bedrooms offer up to eight guests luxurious and tranquil havens. The two double bedrooms have hand-crafted 4-poster beds and billowing muslin nets - perfect for couples – while the twin and triple room are ideal for friends or families with children. All rooms open onto private wrap-around balconies with spellbinding ocean views. Cool, neutral palettes reflect the exquisite seascapes and large sliding doors open to invite scented breezes in. The top-storey ‘turret’ room has 270-degree views from its floor-to ceiling windows and the ceiling is dramatically draped, making this one of the most romantic suites on Kenya’s coast.
Lavish bathtubs and outdoor showers are the main features of the en suite bathrooms. Air conditioning provides comfort during the summer and deluxe toiletries add a special touch.
Sun, sea and sand seem to float through the spacious, open-plan living spaces of the villa as its sliding doors retract to embrace the incredible views. Decorated with locally hand-crafted furniture and traditional artefacts from Africa and the Far East, the living and dining areas epitomise beach-house chic. Dinner can be enjoyed indoors - an elegant 8-seater dining table looks out over swaying palms and the turquoise sea - or on the wrap-around verandah by the light of the moon.
Deep wrap-around verandahs on each level of the villa offer magnificent beach and ocean views and the giraffe-patterned pool seems to merge with the gin-clear sea beyond. Elegant sun loungers beckon for long, lazy days with your book and a private banda is the perfect place to enjoy a pampering massage.
