“This gorgeous and relaxed beach house is ideal for families looking for privacy and plenty of space to spread out; but who also enjoy luxury hotel service such as hot tea and coffee delivered each morning and turndowns each evening.”Kiah Preyer, Africa Safari Expert
The style of this comfortable villa marries contemporary African design with a laid-back seaside palette. Soft, sand-and-ocean colours complement the mix of textures and lighting to create a cool and relaxing atmosphere. The floors are dark-stained wood and there is sisal carpeting throughout the house.
A popular holiday spot for sun worshippers, Plettenberg Bay is renowned for its sweeping white-sand beaches – three of which have coveted Blue Flag status – and tranquil lagoons. The town is surrounded by thick indigenous forest and the climate is reliably moderate, with sunny summers and misty winters. But with heaps of adrenalin-filled activities on offer, Plett is a not a sleepy hollow which caters only to beach bums. Mountain biking, abseiling, kayaking and diving with seals are just some forms of recreation and you are certainly spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out and shopping. There are also a number of wildlife sanctuaries and game reserves nearby, as well as the renowned Tsitsikama Forest that is home to colourful loerie birds.
The Lookout is ideal for a family or a group of friends travelling together.
A moderate climate ensures that any time of the year is good to visit Plett, however it is far busier during the summer months, especially over the Christmas-New Year period and Easter school holidays.
There is off-street parking available.
The contemporary kitchen is equipped with gleaming modern appliances and is a highly functional space where you can prepare meals at your own leisure.
The airy main bedroom is decorated in neutral tones and leads onto the terrace where there is a swimming pool above the manicured garden. Candles and fresh roses in the room are a romantic touch.
The second and third bedrooms incorporate cane and light wood into their tranquil ‘beach chic’ style.
All three bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with both a shower and tub. There is also a guest bathroom.
Designed to maximise the beautiful vistas over Plettenberg Bay, the Lookout offers split-level living and an open-plan lounge and dining room. The lounge has a flat-screen satellite television and DVD player. The stone wall on one side of the living area has a cavernous fireplace perfect for cuddling up in front of with a mug of hot chocolate on chilly nights.
