Villa Amizade is one of 16 villas that make up the luxurious eco-boutique Azura Retreat, located on the western coast of Mozambique’s Benguerra Island. Mozambique’s April-to-October dry winter season sees endless blue skies, long, hot sunny days and cool evenings with very little rainfall: the temperatures build in October and November before the rains break. The wet summer lasts until March; days are hot and the humid with heavy tropical rain showers, especially in February and March. Watch out for passing humpback whales between June and October as they migrate to their breeding grounds, and nesting turtles on the beaches in the warmer months.
The villa has a small kitchenette which is ideal for preparing children’s meals and snacks. Villa Amizade is part of the Azura eco-boutique retreat and guests can expect superb cuisine from a dedicated chef.
