“The lodge is warm and welcoming with a great emphasis on the local culture. I would recommend it for any family looking for a fun beach vacation.”Carlien Parsons, Product Manager
Designed to echo the curved white-washed walls and blue-domed roofs typical of the Greek Isles, Villa Santorini also injects a shot of East Africa via unique sculptures and artworks. The classical white-on-white palette is restful and plays up the intense blues of the ocean and orangey-pinks of the rising and setting sun. The iconic dome was hand-packed over 10 weeks by 150 workers in the traditional way, making it one of a kind in the area. Split levels allow for large groups to enjoy each other’s company but tucked away terraces and secret decks are perfect for romantic dinners à deux or outdoor massages.
Vilanculos Island is the gateway to Mozambique’s famed Bazaruto Archipelago. A protected marine reserve since 1971, the island enjoys miles of untouched white sands, rich tropical reefs and warm, crystal clear waters teeming with sea life which make it exemplary for top-notch snorkelling, diving and fishing.
Mozambique is an ideal beach holiday destination with sunny skies and temperate climes all year round. While the summer months (October to March) can be hot and humid, with heavy rainfalls in January and February, head to the islands in the cooler winter months (between May and September) to experience beautiful clear skies, warm temperatures and crystal-clear seas.
Adventures such as horse riding, kite boarding, sand boarding and camel rides can be arranged.
A modern, fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with state-of-the-art appliances including a double fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and a separate scullery. Your personal villa chef will take up residence in the kitchen to produce delicious meals from the freshest local ingredients. Special meals and dietary requirements can be arranged on request.
