Huge views over the bay draw your attention to surrounding mountain ranges while the crash of waves and the cries of seagulls remind you of your seaside setting.
Originally built in 1877, the guesthouse has been tastefully rebuilt to offer a luxurious abode, ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a quiet retreat close enough to Cape Town to enjoy all the big city attractions but far away enough to revel in a small-village atmosphere.
The three sumptuously furnished suites offer spectacular views of the ever-changing ocean and plush, comfortable living spaces create a tranquilly relaxed ambience. Ideal for self-drivers, it is a perfect base from which to explore the Cape Peninsula: the penguin colony at Boulders Beach is only 20 minutes away and wild Cape Point just beyond that.

“A classic, luxurious villa, filled with old-world charm and spectacular ocean views. This villa is perfect for families or groups of friends travelling together.”Carlien Parsons, Product Manager
Modern manor house meets seaside chic in this elegant and luxurious abode. Opulent antique furnishings, rich textures and warm hues reflect graceful charm while stylish amenities such as satellite television and under-floor heating offer luxurious creature comforts. Capacious-yet-cosy living spaces open onto a wide ocean-facing deck while a sparkling swimming pool offers cool respite from the summer sun.
Historically known as ‘Millionaire’s Mile’, St James is one of Cape Town’s most exclusive locales. Famous for its grand setting, the village's imposing old houses from eras past overlook beautiful sandy beaches and the blue Indian Ocean waters of False Bay. Boasting colourful Victorian bathing boxes and home to quirky antique shops, cool sidewalk cafés and eclectic art galleries, this little seaside neighbourhood has an appealing and welcoming charm all of its own.
Stroll along the historic promenade - its backdrop a range of majestic mountains - or take a refreshing dip in the village's famous tidal pools. If you visit in the spring months, watch for whales breaching in False Bay as you spend the morning exploring the coast. Make sure you leave enough time to enjoy a wander around picturesque Kalk Bay Harbour to see local fisherman land their catch of the day.
Seaforth is perfect for groups of friends or families looking for a luxurious getaway close to the bright lights of Cape Town but far enough away to enjoy a genuine 'seaside town' holiday. It is a great base to explore the entire Cape Peninsula and we would strongly recommend hiring a car for your stay here.
Summers in Cape Town see hot, languid days and warm to cool nights from November to March and are perfect for spending days on the beach and in the mountains. Windy at times in summer, the False Bay beaches can get busy over the December holidays but far less so than Cape Town's more famous city beaches along the colder Atlantic Ocean.
The May to September winters are cold and cosy with rainy days and hot-water-bottle nights and are ideal for exploring the city and surrounds. The winter rains are punctuated by long dry periods of sunshine - ideal for hiking and kayaking - while the August to October spring period is when migrating whales arrive in the bay.
A spacious, well-equipped kitchen is situated on the lower level of the house and offers modern amenities and a sleek, marbled breakfast bar.
Antique furnishings and rich, warm accents adorn the elegantly-furnished master bedroom. An alcove window offers magnificent ocean views with satellite television, air conditioning and under-floor heating promising plenty of comfort.
The tasteful décor continues in the other two guest rooms with Persian carpets adorning the smooth parquet floors. Double or twin beds cater for couples and families alike.
Luxurious en suite bathrooms with elegant oval bathtubs and ample double showers also have plush bathrobes, slippers and deluxe bath products.
A spacious, elegantly-furnished living room flows effortlessly onto the tiled pool deck and its breathtaking ocean views. Relax in the plush, comfortably-decorated lounge and listen to the breaking of the waves below or take in the views from the large alcove window in the spacious dining area.
A wide terrace wraps around the guesthouse and commands stunning views. A shaded, outdoor verandah next to the private swimming pool provides the perfect place to relax on hot summer days.
