Malawi is a friendly, easy-going county which we'd highly recommend to those wanting to spend some quality time relaxing with family and friends - as well as an unforgettable holiday which you'll be talking about for years to come.

The calm surface of Lake Malawi is perfect for a paddle in a double kayak or a spot of snorkelling in the clear fresh water. Back on land, spend a lazy afternoon sharing a few "Greens" (the locals' name for Carlsberg beer) over a game or two of bao.

Don't expect chic, stylised accommodation. Malawi is an uncommercialised destination where most chalets are constructed by hand using natural local materials. What you can expect though is truly friendly staff, a laid-back atmosphere, and plenty of sunshine and warm water.
