Malawi is not a recognised big game destination although it does have some of the most beautiful reserves in Africa.

The Nyika National Park is renowned for its hiking and horse riding tours and Liwonde National Park which is aurguably one of the best birding destinations in Central Africa. Other reserves in Malawi include the Kasungu National Park and the Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve.

Lake Malawi is renowned for its water activities including canoeing and snorkelling. There are a number of lodges situated on the lakeshore and on the islands in the lake that are ideal honeymoon retreats.
