The lodge is owner run and offers personal attention. Patient and encouraging water sports instructors can tutor you in waterskiing, wakeboarding, snorkelling and sailing. Lake Malawi is ideal for the diving enthusiast; clear, fresh, warm water, no tides or currents and over 600 different species of brightly coloured tropical fish known as Cichlids. Other activities on offer include fishing, mountain biking and cultural outings to the traditional village.

Danforth Guest House has shady lawns, leading to a clean beach and crystal clear water. Moored 50 metres away is the luxury yacht, "Mufasa".
