Club Makokola offers freshly prepared meals, creating authentic Malawian cuisine with a global influence. Their excellent food standard has been built on by their new Food & Beverage manager from Zimbabwe.
Club Makokola has a mixuture of different rooms and suites, all of which are set in the beautifully landscaped gardens and most of which overlook Lake Malawi.
The Executive Suite is beautifully designed with original Malawi handcrafted furnishings. It can sleep 4 guests in 2 separate rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and sharing a lounge. The Executive Suite has its own private veranda with beautiful Lake views.
The 9 Junior Suites are tastefully decorated in an authentic African style, with the bedroom uniquely connected to the bathrooms - which are divided into three: one for the vanity basins, one for the toilet and one for the shower and bath tub. All of the suites have a private veranda and Lake views.
The Superior Rooms are furnished in a similar style to the suites and have large bathrooms with a double vanity basin, bathtub and separate shower. All the rooms have a private veranda with views of the Lake. 5 of the 6 Superior Rooms are specially designed for families.
In addition there are 40 standard rooms in a mixture of different styles, but all of which are charming thatched cottages with private facilities. 12 of the rooms are located in an A-frame building next to the conference centre and the other 28 overlook the Lake.
