It is in the northern suburbs of Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi, where you will find Heuglin's Lodge.

Lilongwe has a unique blend of old and new as the existing 'old town' was developed as a capital from uninhabited bush and farmland in the early 1970's. The lodge's surrounding suburbs have a pleasant 'garden city' air about them and it is named after the robin, Heuglin, which is a common sight in the well-tended gardens.

The lodge is a rambling house of six bedrooms, a large dining and lounge area with satellite TV and a well stocked bar and library. There is also a 10 metre pool in the garden.

The lodge has a transfer service into Lilongwe for visits to the bustling old town market and local craft centres. The nearby Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary is a must for keen birders with red throated twin spot, olive sunbird, Livingstone's loerie and finfoot among the specials.
