Makuzi Beach Lodge lies in a secluded, tropical bay on the shores of scenic Lake Malawi. The main lodge area overlooks the bay and the Mphandi Kucha Bar is the ideal setting for sundowners, with a view of the lake to complement your favourite cocktail.

The lodge offers several diverse activities to its guests from snorkelling in the clear water of the lake or kayaking to a small island offshore, through to fishing and scuba-diving with a reputable PADI Diving school off-site.

The serene beach setting is also the perfect location for yoga and meditation retreats and the lodge's own Sivananda Yoga teacher holds classes daily. You could take part in one of Makuzi Beach Lodge's several community projects that the lodge is involved in or go on a historical tour around the village and try out the local cuisine.

The area is also home to a diversity of exquisite birds for those who are keen birdwatchers, and if you love horses, horse riding excursions in the forest or on the beach can also be arranged.
