Mvuu Camp is situated on the banks of the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, Malawi.
The area is home to a diverse array of wildlife, with a rich bird population and variety of game. The Shire River attracts birds such as the African Fish Eagle and Pel's Fishing Owl, making birdwatching a rewarding experience. An exciting and worthwhile way to access the camp is by taking a 30km ride along the Shire River, giving you the opportunity to get to know the surrounding wilderness.
The main area consists of a large wood and thatch dining room, pub and lounge. A boma has been specially constructed to allow you to dine al fresco under the African stars.
The diverse wildlife in the area allows for a variety of activities. Guided walks and day and night game drives allow for excellent game-viewing opportunities. Boating safari trips are also offered.
Alternatively, you could choose to spend the afternoon relaxing at the camp as you watch the game and birds from your own private veranda. End off your day with a river cruise, where you can enjoy the African sunset while watching the animals come to drink at the river.
