Salima

20 km from the shore of Lake Malawi, Salima is the main jumping off point for Senga Bay. A 10km stretch of good beaches and clear water has attracted some good camping sites and one of Malawi's classiest hotel - the Livingstonia Beach Hotel.

Just offshore is Lizard Island, home to huge lizards, cormorants and fish eagles. Stalls in the small town of Senga Bay have some of the best curios for sale in the whole of Malawi.
