Mara Plains Camp is a small and private luxury tented camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy.

This conservancy, on the northern border of the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, is rich in wildlife, including predators.

The camp has only seven spacious, en suite tents and can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests. The environmentally friendly suites are situated far enough from one another so as to offer you a totally private experience. So, while you relax on your private veranda, you won't often see other guests.

The public areas of the camp include an elegant canvas dining room, a comfortable lounge and an outdoor dining deck overlooking the river.

Game drives in the Olare Orok Conservancy will yield great wildlife sightings and rarely will you come across any other vehicles in this private concession. You can also take a drive through the Masai Mara National Reserve, famed for its wildlife.

The guides at Mara Plains are extremely professional and knowledgeable and, with only 4 guests per game vehicle, you can enjoy a totally personalised experience in two new open-sided Land Cruiser 4x4s.

Other activities include night game drives, balloons safaris (weather permitting) and visits to traditional Maasai villages

**Please note: The Mara Plains will be closed from April to May 2012 for a partial refurbishment and routine maintenance of the existing tents and area. The camp will close though for a full redesign of the camp from Nov 2012 to March 2013.

Meals at Mara Plains can be enjoyed in the elegant canvas dining room or on the outdoor deck overlooking the river.

Meal times are flexible, so you won't find yourself constrained by meal times if your out on a drive and come across something fascinating.

Children's meals, vegetarian meals, Kosher meals can be catered for on request.

Picnic breakfasts and lunches are also available.

There are only seven spacious en suite canvas tents at Mara Plains. Each tent is built on a raised platform and has its own private veranda where you can relax and take in the view.
