Off the east coast of Mauritius is the popular and beautiful island of Isle Aux Cerfs. It takes about 3 hours to walk around the island with its many lovely secluded coves that are surprisingly empty. It's important to bear in mind that the south-west corner of Ile aux Cerfs is not safe for swimming.
However, elsewhere on Ile aux Cerfs there are great snorkelling spots and many local kiosks offer watersports equipment for private hire and local food to try. The northern part of the small island is the most touristy as it has been leased from Le Touessrok.
The hotel has made a variety of water sports equipment available, as well as restaurants and kiosks and even an 18-hole golf course. Catch a boat from Pointe Maurice in the south-east of Mauritius or organise a transfer from your hotel to Ile Aux Cerfs.
Alternatively stay at the golf resort of Anahita which offers boat shuttles to the island directly opposite.
