Named after the legendary young couple immortalised by the French author Bernardin de St Pierre in his novel Paul & Virginie, this intimate and charming hotel is an invitation to a relaxing and romantic stay.

The colonial-inspired décor is a subtle combination of wood, stone and thatch and creates a peaceful haven for couples seeking an unforgettable getaway to a paradise island.

In fact many people do cement their love by getting married here. The hotel will gladly create a wedding package for you, or even a relaxing massage package to help you take advantage of the body treatments offered by the Seven Colours Wellness Spa.

In addition to catching a tan on the sandy beach directly in front of the hotel, there are many activities available for you to enjoy while at the hotel such as windsurfing, kayaking, glass -bottomed boats, tennis & snorkelling.

At an additional charge - you may enjoy water skiing, scuba diving (PADI), bicycle rental and fishing, Paul & Virginie also organises extremely popular catamaran cruises, where you can sail into the sunset sipping on a delicious cocktail.

Paul & Virginie has two restaurants and one bar:

Isle de France - the main hotel restaurant overlooks the lagoon and serves innovative Mauritian cuisine, with dishes revealing local flavours, spices & colours.

La Trinquette - this beach restaurant, on a sandy pier surrounded by water, offers a tropical à la carte menu with daily specialities and will happily prepare a special menu for a unique dining experience.

St Géran - named after the shipwreck, this bar is open for morning refreshments, afternoon pancakes and exotic sundowner cocktails.

Accommodation at the Paul and Virginie includes 81 rooms divided into three categories: 12 Comfort, which are great for couples; 57 Superior which are suitable for families; and 12 Privilege Rooms, also suitable for families or larger groups.

All the rooms are set in a tropical garden and offer a panoramic view of the northern islands as well as the lagoon from a private terrace or balcony.

The Comfort Rooms have a queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, satellite Tv, and an en suite bathroom with shower.

With more space than the Comfort Rooms, the Superior Rooms are an ideal choice for families especially as eight of the rooms are inter-connecting. These rooms have the same amenities as the Comfort Rooms except they have a king-sized bed with an additional sofa bed for the kids.

The Privilege Room is the largest room at 42 sq metres and includes a king-sized bed with an additional sofa bed for a third person. The en suite bathroom features a sea-facing bath, and separate shower.
