Driving Around Southern Mozambique

Johannesberg - Vilanculos

Although the highway from Johannesburg to Maputo is in good condition, things can get pretty hairy from there, and we wouldn't recommend travelling by road to Vilanculos.

Roads in Mozambique are generally in poor condition, and although the road is tarred, you need to keep a sharp eye out for people, animals and very large potholes.
