The sights you'll want to capture in the Bazaruto Archipelago are the beautiful white beach sands and the incredible blueness of the ocean. For both of these you'll really appreciate having a polarising filter to remove the glare from the saturating African sun.

Underwater Photography

Another excellent photographic arena in the archipelago is under the water. The snorkelling and scuba-diving around the Bazaruto islands is spectactular, but capturing it can be tricky. The first challenge is having waterproof photographic equipment.

There are three options in this regard - either a cheap underwater case (which usually has a maximum depth of around 3m), a disposable underwater camera (useful if you're only snorkelling), or a professional underwater case (for SCUBA diving photographers).

Getting The Shot

The second challenge is that fish move fast, and the underwater realms are in constant motion with the waves, currents, and tides, so it's important that your camera have a very fast shutter speed.
