DiningMozambique has gained a reputation for incredible seafood. After dinner at the Golfinho Restaurant you will see that this reputation is well founded - with buffets pilled high with huge prawns, crayfish, calamari and grilled fish. Breakfast is also a real treat with a wide selection of delicious options ranging from tropical fruit to a full English breakfast made to order.
For lunch you can wander down to Maguluti (Tides) Snack Bar, which is situated at the activities centre next to a swimming pool and water feature. This a la carte restaurant overlooks the bay, and has an informal feel with light meals including a delicious selection of salads.
Indigo Bay Island Resort & Spa also has a several bars to choose from including the Neptune Bar, with its old black-and-white photographs of Mozambique scenes from the past, and a swim-up cocktail bar in the main pool.
Private dining can also be arranged - there's nothing quite so romantic as dinner for two set out on a tropical beach.
Accommodation at Indigo Bay Resort & Spa comprises 29 Beach Chalets, a Beachfront Honeymoon Chalet, and 14 Bay View Villas including an Executive Suite and Presidential Villa.
The thatched chalets are set just a few steps from the beach, and surrounded by dense tropical vegetation so you can relax in private - on your deck or in your hammock. Each chalet has king size extra length beds and an open plan living area with a large flat-screen TV. The bathrooms are great with an indoor shower leading to an outdoor shower, and an oval bathtub overlooking your garden.
The Honeymoon Chalet is only 20m from the beach and secluded from the rest of the chalets. If you just can't make it down to the ocean, the chalet also has its own plunge pool.
The Bay View Suites are spacious and modern in design, with two bedrooms, an outdoor dining area and a private splash pool. The Presidential Villa has all the interior luxuries of a 5-star suite including its own spa bath and swimming pool. While these suites have fantastic ocean views, it is important to note that they are quite a walk from the beach.
